The number of warp and weft yarns in one square inch. Ours are always single-ply, so the number is honest.

Plain (percale) weave
One over, one under. No floats, so air moves freely — crisp and cool.

GSM
Grams per square metre. A measure of weight and hand, not warmth.

Selvedge
The self-finished edge where the weft turns. A clean selvedge is a sign of an even warp.
