Fabric care guide
What every symbol on our labels means, and how to deal with the stains that actually happen.
Machine wash 30°C
Cold or lukewarm, gentle cycle, similar colours together. Turn printed pieces inside out.
Do not bleach
Chlorine strips reactive dye and weakens cotton at the hem stitch.
Line dry in shade
Hours of direct sun lift colour. Tumble dry low only if you must.
Iron medium, slightly damp
Percale presses best damp. Sateen needs less heat than you think.
Do not dry clean
Solvents are unnecessary for cotton and dull the finish.
No fabric softener
Softener coats the fibre and reduces absorbency. Cotton softens on its own.

What kind of stain?
Blot, do not rub. Rinse from the back with cold water, then work a little dish soap into the mark with a fingertip. Wash at 30°C. Never start with hot water — it sets tannin.
